Macro-Tape-Transfer System® Process

The Macro Tape-Transfer System easily installs in your CryoMacrotome enabling the transfer of a whole body or brain section from a tape to a glass slide.

  • A cold tape supports & captures the section as it is cut.
  • The section on the tape is laminated to a cold adhesive coated slide inside the cryostat.
  • The adhesive coating is polymerized.
  • The tape is then removed.
  • The section is bonded to the slide and ready for processing.
  • The slides can be studied in the microscope.
